Holiday Home Decorating Tips for Small Spaces in North Carolina

You may live in a small city dwelling, or have limited square-footage to call your own, but that doesn’t mean you can’t go big with seasonal cheer! We’ve got you covered this holiday season with tiny space decorating ideas that will fill your home with festivity, from your mantle, to your tree.

1. Reach your highest potential

When your space lacks width, you can capitalize on any height by handing simple cardstock snowflakes or lightweight Christmas ornaments.

2. Rethink wreaths

While we typically think of wreaths as a door or wall decoration, you can go low and use them to jazz up a side or end table.

3. Simplify your centerpieces

You may not have room for huge bouquets or glittering sculptures, but you can pull together a dinner table using charming compact centerpieces. Try filling a mason jar with greenery, cranberries, water, and a floating candle.

4. Try a tiny tree

Keep it small and simple with an adorable mini holiday tree. Ideal for rooms lacking square footage. Add a couple neutral color presents, blankets, and fairy lights, and you have your self a classy tiny tree!

5. Go big with you mantle

During wintertime, the fireplace is the focal point of your living room. Give your mantle a holiday makeover that will catch everyone’s attention by decking out with garland, candles, and chic mini trees!

6. Make your wrapping paper part of the decor

You already have presents out, so let them double as decorations! Adding a few springs of festive foliage to brown paper wrapping with twine is a tasteful way to celebrate the seasons’s bounties indoors.

7. Improves a mantel

No mantle? Consider improvising a sehlf and decoratings with pine garland. What a cherry place to display a stocking!

8. Give your home a holiday scent

Smell goes a long way in setting an atmosphere, and filling your home with holiday aromas can make up for minimal decor! Try boiling cranberries, orange, basemary, and cinnamon.
